BEAUFORT, S.C. – The Northwood University (Fla.) women's cross country finished eighth out of a 10-team field, at the 2013 Sun Conference Champions, hosted by South Carolina-Beaufort Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Nicolette Marsh (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Fort Lauderdale HS) had the top finish for a Lady Seahawks runner, taking 45th overall with a time of 24:19.43. Freshman Ivana Vlakic was 46th with a 24:33.31, trailed by freshman Renea-Lee Hosang (Tamarac, Fla./Boyd Anderson HS) in 47th with a 24:40.50. Freshman Gisele Dormeus (Miami, Fla./Alonzo Mourning HS) finished 52nd with a time of 25:42.63, and junior Ashley Etienne (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Dillard HS) rounded out the Northwood runners, posting a time of 26:36.64 for 58th place.
SCAD-Savannah won the conference championships with a score of 33. Embry-Riddle was second with a 44, trailed by host South Carolina-Beaufort in third with an 83, Southeastern at fourth with a 111, and Webber composes the Top 5 of the leaderboard with a 115. Ave Maria was sixth with a 165, followed by St. Thomas in seventh with a 189, the Lady Seahawks with a 248, Florida Memorial at eighth with a 260, and Warner in 10th with a 294.
